In terms of the numbers of animals persecuted and killed, no other cruel sport in the UK has such a devastating impact on animals as commercial game bird shooting. But one of the cruellest aspects of this industry has nothing to do with guns.

More than one million animals are estimated to be caught in snares every year. Right now, many foxes, badgers and even dogs could be struggling towards a slow and painful death.
